I didn't know Nik very well, but I came to know two items of his clothes well. They were given to me by one of Nik's friends, JP Orhant, and I think I still have one of them, a great khaki shirt, which went to Kenya with me in 1994, and got decorated with African rhino cloth on the collar. I also got a wonderful grey jacket which was designed for Nik, and which I wore all over NYC for several yrs, and even changed the zipper in. So I feel that I knew Nik a bit by osmosis..... I will say the same thing about him going that a friend said about someone else who died a few yrs ago, "he was needed elsewhere." RIP Nik
